“Care for the flock God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willing, not grudgingly – not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. Don’t lord it over people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example.” 1Peter 5:2-3 We all lead someone. Some are leaders at work, others lead family, others are leaders at church or in organizations. Peter describes characteristics of a good leader: 1) Realize they are caring for God’s people not their own. 2) Lead with eagerness to serve, not out of obligation. 3) Be concerned about what they can give, not what they can get. 4) Lead by example. Lead with these characteristics and be blessed.
