“Pray that the Lord your God will show us what to do and where to go. Whether we like it or not, we will obey the Lord our God to whom we are sending you with our plea. For if we obey Him, everything will turn out well for us.” Jeremiah 42:3,6 These people wanted the prophet Jeremiah to pray to God and ask Him what they should do and said they would obey. But they didn’t. And because of it, things did not go so well for them. What’s the point in praying to God for direction if we don’t intend to follow His direction? Be willing to change your course of action when God’s plan is different than yours and be blessed.
