“You heard that our ancestors were told, You must not murder. If you commit murder, you are subject to judgement. But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgement. If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell.” Matthew 5:21-22 Anger violates God’s law to love. It keeps us from developing a spirit pleasing to God. Self-control is good but God wants us to have thought-control as well. We will be accountable for our attitude. Sometimes we get in a trap of anger and it’s hard to break free. God wants to free us from the trap. We just have to ask Him for help and follow His lead. Allow Him to break those chains.
