Guard my lips

“Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.” Ephesians 4:29 The language that has become acceptable in the world is disturbing. We have to be careful not to pick up this foul language. If we are around it, if we don’t guard ourselves, it creeps into our own language. If words don’t add value or are not necessary to get message across, don’t use them. Break the habit. Instead we need to use words that encourage others. My prayer: Father, take control of what I say and guard my lips. (Psalm 141:3) Help me think before I speak. Help me speak words that are kind and helpful that encourage others in Jesus name Amen. Speak words of life, encourage others, and be blessed.
