“The Lord gives His own reward for doing good and for being loyal, and I refused to kill you even when the Lord placed you in my power, for you are the Lord’s anointed one. Now, may the Lord value my life even as I have valued yours today. May He rescue me from all my troubles.” 1Samuel 26:23-24 Saul wanted David dead. David had the opportunity to kill Saul but David knew that was not God’s will. He probably really wanted to kill him so he could quit running but he knew God’s reward was much greater than human satisfaction. Do you recognise God’s will when it goes against your human desire? Do you know His reward is much greater than instant gratification which is only temporary? Which choice do you make? Choose God and be blessed.
