Joy in challenges

“Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.” James 1:2-3 I read a story about the Great Barrier Reef. On the lagoon side, it looks pale and lifeless. On the ocean side, it is vibrant and colorful. Why? The lagoon side is in still water with no movement so it dies early. On the ocean side, the coral is constantly being challenged with wind, waves, and storms. It is the same with us. As we grow in Christ, we are challenged because the enemy doesn’t like it. If we are stagnant, he will leave us alone. If you are being challenged, consider it a growth opportunity. Thank God for always being with you, ask him to help you navigate the challenge, and be blessed.
