“Understand this my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.” James 1:19:20 Listening is a learned skill we develop through practice. If we will learn to listen and speak less, it will give us the opportunity to choose our words wisely and to avoid unnecessary conflict. Anger is a real emotion but we can’t allow it to control us. If we allow it to control us it separates us from God. Practice listening (not just hearing), speak less, be slow to get angry and be truly blessed.
