“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.” James 1:19-20 When you get angry with someone, is it really that your mad about what happened or is it that you want to control the situation? Does it matter that they squeeze the toothpaste in the middle, really? Or they put it on the right instead of the left, really? Or whatever small things irritate you that someone else does. Stress comes with wanting to be in control and with that comes anger and unhappiness. Do you really need to control everything? If you want less stress, be willing to give up control and be blessed with peace.
