Slow down. Listen

“My dear brothers and sisters: Everyone should learn to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.” James 1:19-20 It is important to develop the skill of listening. We are all guilty of half listening. It is a skill that needs to be practiced daily. Half listening causes misunderstandings. Collect your thoughts before you speak. Is it really necessary? If not, don’t say it. Anger is a natural human reaction. How we react and what we do with that anger is important. How do you react when you get angry? Remember, practice listening, be slow to speak, be slow to become angry and be blessed.
