“Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.” Psalm 34:12-14 Do you want to live a long and prosperous life? Then pay attention to what you say. Don’t gossip. Don’t lie. Don’t put people down. Do what’s right. When we do, we have peace. Our tongue can cause lots of problems. Ask God to help you tame it. Trust Him and think before you speak. Is it necessary? Is it building someone up or tearing them down? Pay attention to the still small voice that warns you not to say something and have peace.
