“David replied to the Philistine, you come to me with sword and spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies – the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. Today, the Lord will conquer you, and I will cut off your head…and everyone here will know the Lord rescues His people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord’s battle and He will give you to us.” 1 Samuel 17:45-47 Everybody thought David was crazy, a young boy willing to battle a giant that nobody else would. David knew this was God’s battle not his and he knew because of God’s power in him he could defeat the giant. The battles we face are not ours to face alone. There’s a much bigger battle going on. Is God in charge of your battle or are you trying to defeat the enemy on your own? Put God in charge of your battle and be blessed.
